When making a thread, these rules must be upheld:
Put in a Subject at the header of the post, this must be relevant to the actions of your characters. Please do not make it too long, and follow essay procedure as if you are writing a title for it.
There is a difference in what you must put tor Topic Description, this depends on what you are posting, and who you are expecting to post with.
Necessities
Necessities are those that describe whether a thread is in action or not. This is so confusion will not occur where certain players are currently posting.
Place [Open] when a thread is operable by those who are allowed to post in it. If the thread says "open," then it will not be locked by an administrator.
Place [Closed] when a thread is no longer being used, and no one will be able to post in it. When an administrator sees that a thread is "closed," he or she will lock it shortly after.
Additions
Additions go after the [Open] command to indicate what options are offered for that thread. So, it should look like
Place [Open + Public] for situations where everyone can join in the forum. Even if the board that it is being placed into is a discussion board, use "public" to represent its public nature.
Place [Open + Private] where only you want to post something, and do not want interruption. If using "private," double posting is allowed, but only if space is not allowed in the first post.
Place [Open + Admin] when a thread is only supposed to be answered by an administrator. This is helpful, yet only to be used while posting in the discussion board.
Place [Open + (character name)] for threads where the author of the thread only wants to participate in a thread with a certain person.
Now, if you want to move your characters to a different place, as the one you're at is no longer suitable, just place the following either at the header of the first post the character comes in at, or at the footer of where the character leaves. When a character enters or leaves, this is necessary by all.
Place [Exit to ThreadNameHere] in footer of the last post of the character in a thread whose plot is continued in another thread. Replace "ThreadNameHere" with the new thread's name, and link it to the page of the post where the character is going. Click "Link to Post" at the bottom right of the post made to find out the URL of that particular page.
Place [Enter from ThreadNameHere] at the top of the first post of the character in a thread that continues the plot from another thread. Replace "ThreadNameHere" with the old thread's name, and link it to the page of the post where the character came from. Click "Link to Post" at the bottom right of the post made to find out the URL of that particular page.
If you have any questions regarding anything on this forum, please fill free to ask any administrator. Or if you have complications with that, please contact the head administrator, and he will be more than happy to assist.
